I am very impressed at just how perfect a fit this is for the Civic 4d Sedan. It is custom-made no doubt.

It comes with a velcro strap to secure the shield after you fold it up, which is very convenient.

It completely covers the front windshield including the triangular little windows to the left and right, and NO light comes in. That makes it very effective.

I ran my own experiment to see the difference, by putting it in one day and then keeping it in the boot the next day. The average outside temperatures on the 2 days was identical. I went to check the car at exactly the same time of the day on both days, in the late afternoon. The difference inside the car was very very apparent. On the day that I had placed the heatshield, the car was significantly cooler. It wasn't as if there was no heat present, but the build-up was significantly less. Since this heatshield cover the front windshield, it prevents the steering wheel and the front row of seats from getting very warm. That is a huge advantage.

I usually keep the windows a little open for 2-3 minutes after switching the AC on, to let the warm air escape. With the heatshield, this was cut down to 30 seconds.

In thinking about cons, I am tempted to say that the size is almost a bit unwieldy, and getting it to fit the screen behind the rear view mirror or taking it out isn't always a smooth operation. The mirror always moves and I always need to adjust it once again. That takes all of 5 seconds of course. The heatshield is firm but flexible and a groove has been made to be able to bend and fit the shield around the rear mirror. But yes, I need to get out of the car to fold the shield after I take it off the windshield. But I've gotten much better at the whole thing now, and I'm not complaining.
